About Room & Story
Room & Story provides AI-assisted interior design concepts and virtual staging. Your contract is with the legal entity trading as Room & Story, identified with its registration and contact details in the Legal Notice, which forms part of these terms. We use “Room & Story”, “we”, “us” and “our” to refer to that operator. These terms apply to your use of the website and studio. You must be at least 18 and have authority to act for any organisation on whose behalf you use the service.
Your account and uploads
Keep access to your account secure and provide accurate information. You retain the rights you hold in your uploads. You give us a non-exclusive permission to store, copy, transmit and process your content as needed to provide your requested designs, saved workspace, downloads and support, including through the hosting and generation providers described in the Privacy Notice. This service permission does not transfer ownership to us.
You must have the necessary copyright, property, confidentiality and personal-data permissions for the files and instructions you submit. Do not upload illegal content, personal documents, sensitive information about other people, or material you are not entitled to process. Do not attempt unauthorised access, circumvent usage limits, interfere with the service or use it deceptively.
Optional uses are separate
You do not have to let us reuse your content for service improvement or research to use the studio. Each optional permission is described and controlled separately in Data & privacy. Those permissions do not authorise public display, model training, resale or external dataset licensing. Any such use requires a separate agreement and the necessary rights. Withdrawing optional permission stops the corresponding use of your identifiable content.
AI output and your responsibilities
Designs and videos are generated concepts, not measured drawings, construction plans, architectural or engineering advice, or a guarantee that products exist or fit. AI can change geometry, finishes, materials, lighting and structural details. Have qualified professionals verify dimensions, feasibility, safety and legal requirements before relying on a design.
You may download and use outputs for lawful personal or business purposes, subject to rights in your inputs and any applicable third-party rights. We do not guarantee exclusivity, copyright protection or freedom from third-party claims in AI outputs. Our brand, site design and software remain protected independently of your content.
When using designs in property marketing, clearly disclose AI generation or virtual staging, retain the original photos and comply with your listing platform and applicable advertising rules. A concept image must not misrepresent the property’s actual condition.
Shopping searches
Signed-in accounts receive 3 free shopping searches in total. Room Pack includes 10 searches, Home Pack 25, Pro 50 per paid month and Studio 200 per paid month. The EUR 15 or USD 15 top-up includes 25 searches alongside 30 credits. Pack and top-up searches last 12 months; monthly searches expire at the end of their paid billing period and do not roll over. Search allowances are separate from generation credits. A completed search uses one allowance, including searches that find no matches. Technical failures return the search allowance. Similar products are suggestions, not guaranteed exact matches. Check price, size, availability and delivery with the retailer.
Invitation trials
Personal invitation codes grant 20 credits for photos or video and 10 shopping searches for one calendar month from redemption. Each code is single-use, bound to the invited email address, and limited to one trial per account and email address. Redeem within 30 days of issue. No card is required, no subscription is created, and no automatic charge follows. Unused trial allowances expire at the end of the trial. Photos use 1 credit; each 5-second video clip uses 4. Technical failures return an allowance within its original validity period.
Credits, generation and checkout
Accounts receive one free successful image rendering with a Room & Story watermark. Paid image renders are watermark-free. One completed photo generation or revision uses one credit; downloads do not. Technical failures return the allowance. Room Pack (EUR 15 or USD 15 for 20 credits), Home Pack (EUR 39 or USD 39 for 60) and top-ups (EUR 15 or USD 15 for 30) expire 12 months after purchase. Pro (EUR 39 or USD 39 per month for 100 credits) and Studio (EUR 99 or USD 99 per month for 300) renew monthly and support one account. Unused subscription credits carry into one immediately renewed paid period only, capped at the new plan monthly allowance, then expire. Canceling stops renewal; subscription allowances expire at the end of the paid period. Pack allowances retain their own expiry. No automatic overage charges apply. Team collaboration is planned and unavailable. Purchased pack, top-up, subscription and invitation trial credits can be used for photos and video. A 5-second video clip uses 4 credits, reserved for the full tour when you confirm. The studio shows current availability, clip count, estimated generation time and total credits before starting. Confirmed failed clips return their credits within the original validity period; retrying a refunded clip uses credits again. Requests with an unconfirmed outcome remain reserved pending resolution. Free, referral and legacy photo allowances remain photo-only. Previously purchased cash video tours keep their entitlement. Downloads and combining completed clips do not use credits. Purchases use live Stripe checkout and charge real payments in the selected currency, euros (EUR) or US dollars (USD). Existing promotional allowances retain their stated expiry.
The studio shows your available credits and the credit cost before a generation request. A failed generation returns its reserved credits; an accepted job may take time to complete. Free allowances and paid offers, when available, are stated in the studio. Free design previews and downloads may include a Room & Story watermark. Do not assume a previewed price is an active paid offer.
Stripe checkout presents the total price, taxes, billing period, renewal and cancellation conditions, applicable withdrawal rights and any express request for immediate performance before you commit. These terms do not waive statutory cancellation, refund or digital-service conformity rights.
Storage, deletion and availability
Your workspace saves uploads and designs until you delete them or request closure, subject to the Privacy Notice and lawful retention requirements. Keep your own copies of files you need. Use Data & privacy to export records and delete saved design data. Deleting designs does not itself close your sign-in account or cancel a subscription.
Availability and output quality can vary. We may make reasonable changes, limit abusive usage or suspend access where necessary for security, unlawful activity or serious breach of these terms. Where practicable and lawful, we will explain the reason and allow you to retrieve your content.
Responsibility and your statutory rights
We are responsible to the extent required by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer protections, liability for fraud or other mandatory rights. You are responsible for deciding whether a concept is suitable and for obtaining professional verification where needed.
Questions, complaints and changes
Email hello@roomandstory.com with service questions, complaints, rights concerns, account-closure requests or requests concerning a purchase. Applicable law determines your mandatory rights and the courts or dispute-resolution bodies available to you; these terms do not restrict a consumer’s mandatory protections in their country of residence.
We will publish updated terms with a new version date and seek renewed acceptance for material changes affecting uploads or their use. Optional permissions will not be expanded retroactively.
